I copied 3 DVD's with CloneDVD2 version 2.4.5.4 and Anydvd v3.9.4.2 and my Hard Drive became 14 GB smaller. The box "Delete temporary video files after writing" is checked. I wasn't able to find any large *.vob, *. IFO or *.ISO files on Hard Drive. I tried to clean HD with Windows XP cleaner without success. After uninstalling, deleting Elaborate Bytes and CloneDVDTemp directories, removing CloneDVD2 from registry problem wasn't solved.
I'm using Windows XP Professional and HP zv5255 notebook.
Any suggestions how to recover space on Hard Drive?

Try a defrag. In the past Ive had problems not with CloneDVD but with iso's made with RecordNow Max. Other than that I would manually delete all the files after I was done with them.

Dear TylerDurden!
Disk Defragmenter doesn't help and I deleted Elaborate Bytes and CloneDVDTemp directories already. Searched my HD for any large files with .*.
Can't get space back.
Thank you, for your reply, tvcross

Dear tvcross!

First off take it easy. I dont respond well to shouts. With that being said. Have you tried looking through folders to see which are largest? It may take time but maybe you can actually find something there.

Also when you go to "My Computer" and select your drive, does it show the total size of your drive correctly? Or is that lowered as well?

If you go through your hard drive through 'My Computer' You should have an 'Incomplete' or it might even be in the 'program files' Folder, delete everything from this folder if you can find it.

in failing that it sounds as though you have a problem with your hard drive, once the hd has been working for a good few years hard graft it can sometimes pack in, mine did and i had to get a new hd, doesn't sound too bad until you have to search for all the programme discs to load back onto your pc and start from scratch, includes taking all daft pics and programmes off your pc aswell it's a pain but the only option, make your mind up because i started to get right down to less than one gig and it was thereatining to not start up at all

Dont know if this is any help but If you are running Nortons Dont just empty ya bin also purge Norton protected files.

I kept on losing gigabytes of space and couldnt find it until i did this

Might work ????? :p

My hard drive is shrinking also. Has anyone figured out this problem yet. I've done as suggested and can't seem to find the files.
