tried to backup my copy of this with dvd decrypter and the game boots up ok on my ps2 but wont load the levels

is it because the game is 4.67gb in size although decrypter seems to claim the dics is single layered i dont know if this is an issue

thanx for any help

sometimes windip has problem with gi images (specially if the gi is not splitted), make an iso with dvddecrypter.

Maybe it's a new DNAS version - in which case we're gonna have to wait for WinDIP v1.8... :(

but have just backed up burnout 3 and star wars battlefront which the latter was released at the same time ???? or is it because ea are one step ahead on the dnas (boo hoo) how long till v 1.8

The size was not an issue for me. The backup worked fine. I havent gone online with the backup though.

What I don't get is, why is not everyone using RN to backup. NEVER had a problem.

Are you saying to use recordnow to back it up (normally a two .gi file set) and the latest WINDip to patch it for online play? -- then burn again using recordnow.

seems easier if it were just a single iso made from dvd decrypter... right?

No - just patch the file without the number at the end... :)

oh hell now im confused, what number at the end! you mean the disc ID? but u need the correct # to bypass dnas...

yea its a like a dog chasing its tail.

No, the .gi without the number at the end: e.g:

SOCOM.gi - PATCH THIS FILE
SOCOM(2).gi

So therefore, it's just as easy patching a multiple .gi as it is an ISO :)
