View Full Version : Help please guys!
I am an absolutle beginner at copying games and downloading patches to play games without CD's.
I have got C&C zero hour but ive lost the CD, ive tried a few of the patches on the site to try and allow me to play the game without the CD, but i dont understand how to do it, and when i think ive done it, it still asks for the CD.
can anyone put how to do it into simple english for me, or any suggestions?
thanks guys.
Sure, contact tech support for a replacement cd, using a game without having the cd is illegal therefor we cant help u.

are you sure that they will send him a new one?he LOST the cd, isnīt this some kinda his own fault then?...i might be wrong, but somehow i canīt imagine that...
* Install the game - Full Installation.
* Extract the CRACKNOCD.EXE & CRACKWBUILDER.EXE Patches from the File Archive to the game directory.
* Execute the Patches to remove the CD-Checks.
* Play the Game!
So, if you have the game installed to "C:\program files\ea games\command and conquer", then use a program like WinRar (www.rarlabs.com) or WinZip (www.winzip.com) to extract the files into that directory. So you have to know where the game is installed first.
Then, use windows explorer to browse to that directory and then double-click on each of those 2 files you extracted to execute them (or go Start->Run->Browse and run them that way).
magnetik, most companies do, altho u will have to provide proof of purchase and pay for the p&p

oh, ok, i didnīt know, never had to do it my self yet.....i thought this is only possible when the cd is scratched or so..when you send the bill only, they might think you only wanna grab a second for a friend e.g...when the cd is scratched you can send it with the bill to proof, thatīwhy i couldnīt imagine that...well, good to know though :)
actually thats a good point there, hmm theyll prob ask u to pay extra for the cd maybe half the game price? as in, if u say uve lost the cd kinda thing.
