Which mod chip to get and from where

ok i am looking to buy a mod chip for my ps2 now i got it when i very first came out so i'm not to sure of the version.

but what mod chip would be the best to buy and from were.

also for making back-up copies of games what software is the best to use. and where can i get the software from

Read the Ultimate info sticky, Also if your PS2 is that old you may want to sell it and get a newer version. If not it may have laser issues when modded.
