I've had Halo PC since the week it came out (bought it at Circuit City), and apparently it got scratched (hence the CDC error) and just stopped working. :(
It always stops on a map file named a10.map
Can someone please tell me where I can either download a full copy, or a file to patch the previously mentioned one?

Thanks :)

No.

Contact the publisher for a new CD.

but are you sure there isn't a file(s) I could download to use instead?
I still have my CD Key and everything, and I don't want to go throught the hassle of contcting them and waiting for the CD to arrive.

Did you try downloading the dedicated server maps from the Microsoft web site? It says they are the same maps as in the retail version. You might find the file you are looking for in there.

Halo_DS_Maps_1_02.exe
This self-extracting file includes the multiplayer maps required to run Halo Dedicated Server. You only need to download these once. If you already have the full retail Halo game installed on your server, you do not need to download the maps at all; the server will use the maps that were installed by the game.

*yawn*

*is tired after an hour of Microsoft Tech Support*

They're actually quite friendly there...
the guy I was talking to was from India and we were talking about the weather there and the weather in Texas :)

Unfortunately, nothing worked and I'm going to have to buy a new disk if I cant get replacement files :(

Thanks Big Country, I'll try it :)

Is there a way where I could download the trial version, and then paste my good files into it or something?

BTW: I can't do a server patch because Halo won't re-install/run. :(
