When I try to run it, after I apply the crack I get this message.

Did the game run fine off the original cds? Tried reinstalling the game? I dont think its the crack giving you that error.

If I already have direct x 9.0, from installing prevouis games like doom 3, do I need to install it again when I install this game?

Hmmm, not really. But theres no harm in installing it again.
