I don't believe it is out yet. Very soon though, they have released beta images of the chip.

Just read at (http://www.mrmodchips.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=77&osCsid=ac09bb2f2b85bf6974a1538c00355b41) that the X3 will be out on the 8th? Is this true and will it be the same fitting to v1.6 as previous?
if not any instructions out?

That date is true according to the TeamX site, and they have a beta diagram which might be of interest to you - the install looks fairly painless so far, and of course, it has full Xcalibur support for the 1.6 :)
