Hi guys,

Grab ProtectionID (see the one of forum stickies) and tell us what (commercial) protection those games use. Bye,

Joe

Thanks for the reply , read the forum stickie and searched around for the ID , couldn't find one that matched the list . Where would the ID be if i'm not looking in the right place ? ( searched the downloaded file ) cheers wiggs

Firstly, well done for being patient. Unlike most new posters on here, you didnt bump the thread even though you had no worthwhile response for almost a month. :)

Secondly, theres a sticky for ProtectionID HERE (http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=45299). Read through that thread for hints on what the software does and how to use it. It can be downloaded from HERE (http://pid.gamecopyworld.com). Click on the ProtectionID link on the left to get a list of mirrors.

Here is the output from Protection ID. I'm not sure what it means or if I even scanned the right file, I can provide more info if need be. I mainly need a crack for this to get it to work on Linux under wine. For some reason wine does not see the disk in the drive, even though I was able to install the program off the disk in the first place. I'm sure there are many other solutions to my particular problem but I decided to start here...

Scanning -> I:\Dora_Backpack.exe
File Type : Exe, Size : 692289 (0A9041h) Bytes
-> File has 65 (041h) bytes of appended data starting at offset 0A9000h
[!] Possible CD/DVD-Check String -> Please insert
