The PS2 is supplied with a/v leads with a scart plug, does anyone know if i would get a better quaility picture if i bought the Svideo lead?
I have an Svideo input on my tv, dont want to spend money on a new lead if the picture is no better
I used to have that exact cable...but then i bought an RGB SCART cable for £5 it had audio outputs and a gCon2 input. And the picture quality was excellent.
I had notice whilst playing on Pro Evo 3 that the read teams were a bit dodgy, and as soon as i had used an RGB Scart it was all fixed.
Its worth it to say how much it costs.

You had an SVHS cable? why did you change for scart? would you not get a better picture using SVHS providing the tv has the SVHS socket?
