Have you checked for firmware updates?

There is nothing on the Creative site.

The weird thing is, I checked on some site that this DVD-ROM is compatible with DVD+R. I just don't understand what's happening to me, I got a bunch of DVD+R which plays well on a stanalone DVD-player but not on my drive.

Thx for replying first.

I got an a firmware update from this site but that's for fixing the region code.

I didn't bother to flash the firmware just now but I used DVD region+CSS Free to try to circumvene if there is any relation with region code.

The result is no avail because the DVD-ROM don't even sense there is a disk inside!

Just one dumb question, there is a 'RW' label besides the 'DVD+R' label on those disks, does that mean anything? Is it still just a normal DVD+R?

Thx in advance!

The "RW" label doesnt mean its an actual ReWriteable disc. I really dont know why they put that there.

Anyways, try that firmware. In most cases firmware allows you to read newer or different brands of media that didnt work before.
