I'm pretty new to all this, so it could be a simple answer...

I've got a few DC backups, about half of which work, and half won't. I'm using a European DC and Discjuggler 6. Some games - Ikagura, Border Down, Powerstone 2, Street Fighter III - work just fine. Other, I'm having problems with - Zero Gunner 2, Psyvariar 2, Rez.
The images work fine in chankast if I mount them using Daemon tools. If I burn them to a CD, however, they show up as an audio CD in chankast and in my real DC. I've tried using the utopia disk, but although it gets to the raindeer screen, it doesn't seem to load anything after that (even the backups that normally work).
The CDs that I burn do seem to have burned fine however, if I look at them on my PC, they look identical to the image when mounted - as far as I can tell, anyway.
I still have a couple of ideas left that I could try DJ2, the PAL patch program stickied in this forum, other boot disks...but I'd rather not waste many more CDs if possible, I've already burned extra copies of these games. If anyone can give me any help with this I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

OK, I've now tried Daytona 2001, and that doesn't work, though it does something slightly different. It goes to the dreamcast menu, but not to audio CD. If I try to choose "play", it resets, as if it were about to start the game, but then goes to the menu again.

I tried Psyvariar 2 by mounting on Daemon tools and copying with clone CD, and I now get to the Sega screen, but then the console resets - does this have something to do with hte pal protection? I've tried using PAL patcher, and it detects some protection 2 and 3. I've patched the 2, but not the 3, since as far as I can tell from the instructions that doesn't work with most games - so is the protection 3 a problem?

Again, thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me!

Well, since noone else is replying, I might as well keep this up...

I've had some luck with some games that were giving me problems by burning them in discjuggler but using CD copy and daemon tools, rather than going straight from the image.

I'm also getting an error for quite a few images (or when mounted in DT) from discjuggler that there may be a problem with the image which could cause write errors, and given to option to let DJ try to fix it. Saying no seems to do no harm and generally produces working dics.

I've still some which will not write properly though. Either noone on here is prepared to help me, or there's not much people can do with this though, so I'll keep experimenting. If anyone can suggest alternative methods of writing which could get results then that'd be great. I know the images work cause they run fine in chankast, it's just a matter of getting them on CD...

The other thing I'd like some help with is PAL protection. I've seen the program PAL patcher, but dno't think I fully understand what it does. For example, space channel 5 when burned will start up but leave me at a black screen, something which I think i've read as possibly due to pal protection. Scanning the image shows up protections types 1, 2 and 3. Should I try patching any or all of these? Just from the 1st read file? When I've patched 1 and 2 through the whole ISO I get a write error from DJ and simply end up with a coaster, and I've got loads of them already.

Anyway, as before, and help would be much appreciated. Or just tell me to shut up if you'd like.

Thanks in advance.
