i recently bought some cheap dvd disc's from a market (25 discs for £7) when i go to write onto one of these disc's on clone dvd i'm given the message -
'writing to Video DVD was not successful, Write DVD 5 5'
if u have any ideas on how to overcome this problem please let me know?
*i realise the discs were cheap and from a market and therefore probably won't work*
but any ideas would be appreciated
Thanx

Have CloneDVD make DVD Folder's then use another program to burn. If you are still having problems burning then try a firmware upgrade. If all this fails use those discs for target practice.

For the firmware update youll need to at least tell me what drive you have. Then I can check for you.

Or you can check with the manufaturer of your drive's website yourself.

I downloaded the clone dvd program and it is recording just fine but I can't get the disks to play on anything but my computer. I need to know what I need to do to get the movies to play on my dvd player. I have even tried to get them to play on my playstation but they won't play on any dvd player except on my computer. HELP!

Does your dvd player support recorded media? Could also be cheap media or that your ps2 laser is crap.

I had the same problem when I used CloneDVD 3.0 from clonedvd.net.
The copies would only work on my computer DVD player.

I started using CloneDvd2 v2.4.5.4 with AnyDVD v4.0.4.1 from Slysoft.com and it works perfectly on my computer and my stand alone home DVD player. :)
