I can not get the chip to load correctly into the xbox......With the 1.6 diagram it is a little confusing.... Has anyone ever done a 1.6 yet and / or with the alladin advance chip......All it does is a black screen and flashing Red and Green.....Any ideas are helpful.....Thanx

Flashing Red and Green.. Otherwise known as FRAG is a bad chip install.. Bad connections somewhere.. Its in the ULTIMATE STICKY... Always suggest reading before you ask a question.. Or use the search option.

Uhhhh....Yeah...I have read ALL the stickys...As I browse this forum every hour on the hour... ;-) I want to know if anyone has tried the 1.6 with an Aladdin....The diagrams are a little confusing.....We solder exactly what the diagrams says and no go.....But we are not sure about the DO and L1, L2, and BT points.......Thanx for any help.

yah, well, an alladen advanced anyways, read this entire page, there are some draw backs (led indicater not working and such):

If you use a bios not compatable with the 1.6 xbox, you will fry the mobo. So, do not install the chip without flashing a 1.6 compatable bios on it first or as soon as you turn it on, your xbox will fry.
For better look at the bridge points, and the d0, look here:

My appoligies EC.. I learned a lesson not to jump to conclusions.. Not everyone is lazy.
Kind of a bummer it's stuck on all of the time.. Unless you throw a switch on there.. But I spose you have to compromise somewhere when you experiment.. Cool that they actually got it to run though.
