im trying to patch ever quest online adventures frontiers but windip keeps saying its an unknown or unsupported vertion. anyone know another program i should try

Have you tried the latest version of WinDIP? I think it's 1.7. I have it, so if you don't have it and want to give it a try, PM us your e-mail address and I'll send it off... :)

Have you looked at the number of the DNAS file in WinImage?

i got it patched using DNAS disc id inserter
