Does anyone know what would happen if i tried to play a backup game over the internet without patching it and does anyone know if i can play onling with a modchip installed?
Thanks,
Damo
you should of used the search button, but oh well.
Yes you can play online with a modchip, just make sure you disable it once you've loaded the game. If you do not patch the game you could end up being banned, so I would not advice this.
Get a modchip (Matrix Infinity)
Backup your game and patch it.
Play game
Disable modchip
Go online
Simple :)

Hmmm, missinformation. If your game is not patched -> DNAS error -402
If you're playing original games with your modchip turned on -> DNAS error -402 If you're playing a patched backup with the wrong ID -> DNAS error -864 If you're playing a game from another region ie. PAL game on NTSC console or vice versa -> DNAS error -833
So no ban just the errors. The modchip doesn't have to be turned off with a patched backup, only with original games.
