Hi I have been having problems burning a copy of the Utopia boot disk. I have read tons of faqs on how to do it and how to fix my problem. Which brings me to my problem. I tried burning utopia with Dj6 and the cdi but when I tried to run it in my DC it came up as a music cd. I read somewhere that in newer versions of Dj alot of the DC buring progs don't work. So I tried buring it with Nero 5 and the nero image, which I got from 2 different websites and still nothing. The only reason I need utopia is for playing imports. If I play a back-up it is a self-boot. Can anyone help? I am opened to anything. Is there some other program I can use? I tried burning the gameshark cdx but got the same results. Just looking for some guidence. By the way my DC was made in Sept. 99 if that helps.

Try mounting the image on a virtual drive then do "Copy CD" with nero or dj.

or try using alcohol 120%
the way to do it in alcohol is -
start alcohol
select the .cdi image
click next
select custom data type at the bottom
select raw/dao as the burn type
tick the buffer underrun box if u can
select a speed of 8x or less
click start

I got it to work using alcohol. For some reason Dj just wouldn't do it. Thanx so much for your help. This is the best forum I have been to. Found all of my answers and answers to questions I haven't asked yet here. You guys rock. :)
