Call of duty error

after insatlling the no cd crack i get this error

Couldn't load defaulft.cfg. make sure call of duty is run from the correct folder.

512 ram

i reinstalled the game but that didnt help.

Sounds like a bad install of the game. As always, make sure the game works before using a crack.
