Hi there!
I put Chronicles of Riddicck on my HDD (160GB Samsung Spinpoint) as usual with dvd2xbox, however, when I try to start it a black screen appears, saying the game has to be booted from the original disc.

I tried patching the .xbe files manually with CloneXB, but it still doesn't work.
I tried burning the game on a DVD+RW but my Xbox won't read (Phillips drive) the discs, yet (CD-RWs work, though).
Now, is there some new backup protection on the disc or what the hell is going on?

Would be cool if you could help me out on this one guys!
Thanks!!

I have an Alladdin chip installed - BIOS is v.4981, which comes with 'no patch' hacks 1+2 from what I know.

wow, what bios are you using on the chip? I backed it up to my HDD just yesterday with dvd2xbox v0.5.#, and it works fine.

OK, I've just downloaded a HDD fix from www.xbox-toolz.de - everything should be fine now.

thx!

I'm getting this also. And unfortunately I am unable to navigate that xbox-toolz.de website. Can you direct me to the fix you downloaded?

The pal version needs patching.

#1 get the latest dvd2xbox. 0.5.9 i think
#2 download this acl and put it into the acl folder (right click and save as):
http://dvd2xbox.xbox-scene.com/acl/56550026_pal.acl
#3 Delete the game from your hdd. Make sure acl is set to yes in the settings of dvd2xbox (press white button i think for settings)
#4 re-copy

It should work
