My ps2 makes a sctraching noise when i play my games but the game loads fast. I want to know what the problem is and how to fix it.

First of all what version ps2 do you have and how old is it and secondly do you have a modchip installed and if so what is it??

Is it a blue backed disc (CD)? If so, the noise is perfectly normal... :)
