i think this is the most appropriate forum
anyway i built a new pc today
specs
asus a7v600-x
amd 3200+
kingston 512 mb ddr400 ram
fx5200
well the point of this is that i booted up the pc all my cool lights came on good sign.
But nothing comes up on the monitor what could be my problem? the little led on the monitor flashes green. but no beebing noise is coming from the pc.
hmm i had that prob sadly i dont remember how i fixed it lol, are all jumpers on correct settings? if u didnt get an image cos of the graphs card ud get the sign by the monitor of no image (flashing green light or a orange-yellow light normally)

Retrace your hardware installs and double check all connections. Be sure that all add-ons and wires are all seated properly. (agp, pci, mem, ide) Make sure you have all jumpers set correctly. Especially pay close attention to the small wires that plug into the mobo for power led hdd led etc... If they are wrong, it will be a no go.

thats definitely not a good sign Seany! Did you double check all of your connections and hardware compatiblities?
I'm sure you did but it doesnt hurt to ask.

well i havent bought any lately so i cant be sure about the 1.5v question. Does the mobo manual recommend any specific gc? Which one did you buy?

i used my fx 5200. well the guy i bought the mobo off has taken it in for a repair and hes doing it for free. Good because he lives local and has good comms so he keeps me up to date. everything else works normal noise from hdd and dvd writher but i think its the ram or gc.
seaney i know that only geforce 4 ti xx use more volts.ifit's notram then we got here a pretty weird situation
try testin a new ram(from a friend or so)

Also i ditched the idea of thermal pad and i bought arctic silver 5 thermal grease. Hell lot better
