I havent had any of these probs yet but just out of curiousity, are you using a backup to play online or an original game? Do you think that would have anything to do with your problem?

well heres the story.
i disabled the modchip and put in the network access disk. I got past connecting ping and all that but when its in ther testing stage it says authorising dnas and stays there. Any clues?

If you disable the chip then you must be playing an original ofcourse so I'm not sure why you are having probs unless it has to do with your ISP. I seem to remember you mentioning in a previous post something about your banwith no being accepted. Did you resolve that or did I read that wrong?

Yes of course its an origonal hehe.
well i think its my isp caus. I have broadband (150kb)download 3 times speed from ntl. They said it wouldnt work with it but i was told by someone other wise. I think i need to upgrade to the console package they do. www.ntlhome.com

I think youre right. 600kb would do the trick. Kinda slow compared to what I use though. lol I use 1500kb. Slightly more expensive but it gets the job done. :D (quickly) That console package mentins it being for xbox and you gat a free game plus the headset to talk online with. I wonder if that will apply to you since you are not a new customer though. It says for newbies only. Heres a thought, Disconnect it for a few weeks/month and then go back and get it again, that way you get the perks too. :p
