Hello,

i want to install the far cry patch but the patch doesn't find my game, i think that is due to the registry, i'd like to receive some information what key i should make in my registry so that the patch installer finds my game

hallo,

bedankt

Had the same problem. I've reinstalled it and worked

Don't bother installing the new v1.2 patch, it's been recalled!!

http://www.farcry-thegame.com/uk/home.php

"Far Cry patch 1.2 has shown unexpected behaviour on specific hardware configurations. These matters are mainly due to incompatibilities with several optimisations brought lately to the code, with the intent to please a large number of users.

We're currently asking CRYTEK to work on delivering a new patch as soon as possible. Until then we have decided to remove the patch 1.2 from the official UbiSoft websites."

Just reinstall the game and the registry entries will be fine!
But read the previous post. The Patch 1.2 isn't good, so UBISoft has take if off of their homepage.

you would suppose that reinstalling the game would help, but i reinstalled the game like a dozen times and it still doesn't work, however it is good that the 1.2 patch is recalled, but when it would be brought back i would have the same problem again.
so please, if someone would be nice and take a look in his registry what keys there are for far cry so i can look if i'm missing them.

thx for your time and patience

xx

It surely won't help. Deinstall and then run a registry cleaning tool. But make backups.

well i still want to give it a try, or if someone just exported the keys from his registry and mailed me it would work i suppose

As suggested, reinstall from your originals. Closed...
