but afaik is that a game-related problem. same thing with the t-34-prob. played german mission 8 yesterday...guess what happened: the t-34 is not moving towards the train-station after fixing it up with the russian repair-truck. so: no trigger to end the mission. i guess i have to play it over again. :mad:
this problem supposed to be fixed with the 1.06-release as well as the repair-bug (which i had not at all).......

keep cool. panzers is as buggy as hell. it'll take some more patches to fix this. besides: the ctd and freeze-problems are imo more serious......i have no spyware/adware on my pc but still the game crases to desktop sometimes or even locks up the entire system. great isn't it? :mad:

Belive me it`s not a problem of the game it`s a problem of the Crack
I have the original game, but want to give it my father so i wait and test the NoCD Crack. There is no Problem with the Original Panzers.exe. Only when i change to the cracked one there is this Problem. Be shure i have been often in the CDV Forum this Problem started one our after the NO CD patch was here to be downloadet.!!

there is a crack on gcw wich claims to get rid of the "repair bug" but unfortunately it doesn't work 4 me - have to cope with my cd scratching rom^^ hope there will ever be a way to make backups from those sf games...

This v1.06 is different crack! Codename.Panzers.NOCD.Einheiten-Reparaturfix-Star****ers is the one, that should fix the "repair-bug"...or are these the same????

the v.06-crack on gcw does not work for me either. i can't load all of my savegames and when i start a new game, it gives me an error and ctd.

Belive me it`s not a problem of the game it`s a problem of the Crack
i think i read some threads on the panzers-forums, where there were users which had that bug with the original exe, too. weird.

All I can see on gcw is v1.06 NocD by [S1elz], not by [Starf****er]... :confused: ... Theres supposed to be another fix/crack, wich I mentioned..and that should fix the repair-issue.

So does this 1.06 by [S1elz] work or not??? Cant test it by myself (@work) :(

is only an nfo file witch say that you could not remove the staforce files with the starforceremover.exe and it doesn´t work.

the file on gcw 1.06 withc mean that the "repair bug" will work, also won´t work, @ time there is no crack that fixes the repair bug

This is because this is as you said a bug and not a copy protection and cracks usually fixes copy protections and not bugs.

It was me, who send in the new 1.06 crack by S1elz (Someone Else).
I found it via eMule.

I've re-installed PANZER.
I've installed the V1.06 Update-Patch.
I've copied in the cracked PANZERS.EXE.

Game works fine. No Repair-Bug !!!

For all the players who can't get to the next level:
Delete all your savegames and start new the campaign.
Read the official Panzers-Board !!!
That's the only solution.

I have checked out the official Game-Forum and the Repair-Bug is a Problem of the NoCD-Crack. It only concernes Players that dont use the original CD so we will all have to wait until anybody fixes the Crack and makes it work.

That is also why the Bugfix is not mentioned in the official 1.06 Patch.

that no-cd is crap. i de-installed panzers, re-installed it, patched to v.1.06 and copied the cracked-exe to the dir. i began a new capaign (germans). after saving and reloading the savegame, the game crashed to desktop (gave me a error-message which said something like "failed to open savegame").

now i'm using the original exe again and everything runs fine! btw: i increased vcore in my bios a little bit and i don't have random crashes anymore. :cool:

Something is ****ed up with this 1.06 cracked exe by [S1elz]. If you try Multiplayer with it, it shows your version as 1.04 and you can only join 1.04 games. They work perfectly, so it seems this is just a 1.04 exe...
BTW the repair bug still exists, no change there.

I was trying again V1.04 (original version) and the game is showing "Version 1.04" in the main screen.
Then when i updated the game and used the "new" 1.06 crack it shows only "1.06", not "Version 1.06".

But, btw the game works fine for me. I don't have the "Repair-Unit - Bug" after updating the game to V1.06 .

When i was trying the first time to install the UpdatePatch, the Patch told me "You have to install PANZERS before installing the Patch". But PANZERS was already installed !!!???!!

Then i was looking in the registry and change the following from:
Arbeitsplatz\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CDV Software Entertainment AG\PANZERS\Deutsch

to

Arbeitsplatz\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CDV Software Entertainment AG\PANZERS - Phase1\Deutsch

Then i was able to install the patch.

Mayby it's fake/hoax/modified/stolen/whatever, but most important thing to me is that nocd works. Mayby it is modified v1.04 by star*...kers, and they didnt update sf3 version on that patch..but now I can complete those missions (which in 1.04 I couldnt), so its okey for me ;)

There are a littlebit more bytes change, but these byte, i think, are the Proof for us: S1elz has stolen the crack from Spitfire/Starfvckers.

At the beginning of the 1.04 EXE by Starfvckers are these entrys:
bite my shiny metal ass ... Spitfire / * Starfvcker * ... Finger weg!

At the beginning of the "1.06" EXE by S1elz are these entrys at the same position:
cracked by someone else ... Spitfire / * Starfvcker * ... Finger weg!

The cheater don't take out the Spitfire / Starfvckers sign !!!

Do you have the orginal game?

If you have, you've installed the patch 1.06 and then the NOCD crack (s1elz) and it worked fine for you, didn't it?

6. I deinstalled the game and cleaned the Starforce protection files from my system with StarforceCleaner.
7. I reinstalled the game from my backup DVD (yes it's possible to put the three cds to one dvd!)
8. I installed the update patch 1.06 using the changings in registry (see one of my previous postings)
8a. I didn't start the game before updating!!!
9. I copied in the "1.06" crack from S1elz.

--> The game runs fine without having any problem (Repair-Units) !!!

That registry thing was because you couldnt update without it, right??? because I had none problem to update, and I still had this repair bug, so it wouldnt be no use for me to uninstall and install again,right??? if I have this repair-bug, then I have it, and nothing I can do about it :(

..OR., would that registry thing help (concerning repair-bug)?????

You're right. The change in registry was needed to install the Update-Patch on my PC.
Don't know if this is the thing everyone need to "kill" the "Repair-Unit" - Bug.

But, just look in your registry, which of the both variants you have and then try changing it.

Hi everyone,
I tried to get rid of the bug the way GLH described. But it won't work for me. I still can't repair the tank in the Tutorial. In normal missions it will still only repair a couple units, different ones this time than in 1.04 but that's still unpleasent. My registry was already set up the way it's supposed to.
If anyone has an idea: Feel free to tell us.

The Bug is only a Crack problem, not a problem with the original exe.
For the reason, that there is no crack for the english version, noone can answer your question.

1st. Im not a huge RTS fan to play in MP
2nd. IMO this game is gorgeous by its tanks, without repairt unit the tanks are almost useless and boring. Infantry is totally arcade

hehe the whole game is arcade - stoppt searching 4 a crack same with soldiers : heros of ww2 its a shame they do so much arcade this days ... glad i only wastet my money on one of those games (playing a friends copy saved me of buying soldiers,too) - in my opinion arcade is for consoles like x-box ect ... but most game releases in the last year or two realy sucked when it comes to realism ....... hope they stop turning the PC game genre in something you need a gamepad 4 to enjoy ...........

playing without repair bug (at least for me)

note: its the standard procedure given in the readme of the 3 cds spread on emule under the name ....panzers.....torrent-planet.net... with one important addition: the copy of cd3 has to be put in a pure cd or dvd drive not a cd or dvd writer !!

I sketch the whole procedure:
follow exactly the rules in the downloaded files
you can install from harddisc but you definitely need an image of cd3 burned to a cd-rw 700 mb to run it
read again: you need to burn the image to play without any crack and without the repair bug
the prog i used is alcohol 120% (newest version, 1.9.2.1705)
you should also be sure that there are no emulations from alc or daemon tools are running in the background, so disable them all!!!

first thing is to create the image of cd3 with alc.
after this i burned the image on a 700 mb cd-rw, with the following options:

(badly translated to english from a german alc version)
datatypey: user defined
writespeed: 4x - 8x
write method: dao/sao
buffer underun technology activate: on
do not close last session: off
circumvent efm errors : off
sub channel correct: on (default)
write rmps to medium : off

install the game, update it using patch 1.06, start it
reboot so starforce 3 drivers are installed
insert cd3 in a standard cd or dvd drive (do not use the cd writer!!)
start game (disc checking takes a while but the copy check is passed !)

I have checked it just now and finaly works!
Install the game. Change original exe avec PANZERS_V1-1.06_german_NoCD_by_S1elz. You can find it in www.gamecopyworld.com.

Then, pay attention, utilise ONLY the starforce clean.exe of starforce****ers included in their no cd release : Codename Panzers v1.0 [GERMAN] No-CD/Fixed EXE. (you can find it again in www.gamecopyworld.com)

And then..................PLAY BABES

I have tried the solution for days and there is no repair problem.
If there a repair truck problem at a moment, save, exit and then restart the game. (That's a small bug and not the problem we all had before.)
The crack works perfectly with the combination of starforce clean.exe as I described earlier!

I cannot confirm that.
I have just cheated troughout the first ten mission of the Germans (with the "dirtyhungarianphrasebook" cheat) and advanced without problems.

Well i tested with the russian campaing and it worked...so its just a problem with the precracked savegames. I think i have to find that cheat and play thoose levels again.

Greetings guys, I was wondering whether someone had the same problem as me. When I put the crack and I get in the game, it asks me for a key. Is tha supposed to happen? I tried the star***ers cleaning prog and that didn't change anything. What could be the problem?

i´ve had the same prob what i did:
1. uninstalled the full Game (inc starforce Triber) and removed registry entries
2. Installer game from original CD´s
3. started game @ original version (1.04) and entered an original Key
4. updated tu ver 1.06
5. used 1.06 crk and it works

i tested the last on GCW released crack for panzers 1.06 and it works fine. Even the repairbug isn't there anymore.
