thats odd ax! Weird that they would work on the 120 and not the new drive. I'm sure you have but I thought I'd ask anyway. Have you tried a second time to get the emus to work?
Just trying to make sence of this cause the size of the drive should not matter at all, so it does lead one to believe maybe you missed something. Not that emus are that difficult and you do know your way around the xbox pretty well. I'm no expert by any means on the Xbox aspect of it but it would be about the same as a pc. In that regard, it should be working. I know I may not be much help but it does make you rethink your previous attempt(s) just to be sure. ;)

What exactly is going on with these emulators?
So they will play off a CD but not the new HD?
And Xbox games work fine on the new HD?
Do the GUI’s load up but do not read Rom folders?
Or do the Roms show up but fail to load and run?
Are your partitions all correct, N64 needs Virtual memory?
Did you copy all the save files from the old drive?

ax, are u usin surreal64? if not i highly recommend it. this was happening to me on my 8GB HDD. go into settings from the surreal menu.then go to default settings. then MAX out the maximum memory usage for all the emulaters, change the sound plugin, and max out the video memory usage. now almost every rom i throw at it plays in one of them(1964, pj64, ultraHLE)

I’d try running it on a CDRW with a few roms just too see.
Has the drive letter changed? Verify Surreal.ini file.
Try reload button to see if it’s actually seeing the roms and not just using the save list.
Try deleting the surreal save in MS dash.
Sounds like a problem with the ini,, rom path. Especially if you hit the reload (circle arrow thing) and the roms dissapear and never show up again. I have one version of surreal that I can’t get any roms to show up so I went back to V1.0. Other than that, I don't know anything else to tell you.

ax, is the meu a backup from your old drive, or a new download? If you got it from your old drive, did you get both the Udata and Tdata folder?

I suggest redownloading the emulator. I have no idea what the problem could be.

Surreal 64 must have some strange bugs about the drive paths. I tried 5530K again, no roms showed and I know my paths are set right in the INI. So I imported the default.xbe from V1.0, left all other 5530K files the same including the INI file and BAM, roms load no problem.
