i was wandering if i can play games without a modchip, but through the hdd.no matter what the answer is i also want to know how you can play through hdd(i mean do you place all the cd contents through ftp to hdd?)

well yah you can, with a softmod xploit. Unfortunately they suck ass, and can be touph to do if you don't read up enouph on it.

You put the games in the xbox dvd-rom, then use a program to copy it directy to the HDD.
