Anybody know of a seasoned mod chip installer in Texas? Preferrably in the Dallas / Fort Worth area?

Look at the installers sticky. You may want to send it to Spedmetal at www.norcalmods.com.

Rademad:

hey bro, i'm from san antone and i found this store here that did an awesome work on my ver4 ps2. the manager (Larry) and the tech (Chris) are very nice and professional. they did an wonderful job for me. i'm glad i found them 'cause i was kind of reluctant on sending it out via mail. but check 'em out and speak w/ them. i hope they can help you out.

btw, i think there was a place in your are that does mod installation. i'll look around and see if i can find them and i'll write back. but you might want to do a "google" search for this service in your area, that's how i found out about this store in my neck of the woods. let me know what you think about this company, okay.

I went to their website but they did not talk about mod chips. Did they install yours? What chip did you put in your unit?

yeah they installed a DUO chip on my ps2. i'm not sure which version it is. but the previous one that i had, messiah2 pro couldn't even read my codebreaker disk(s), which is what i wanted. they did a great job w/ my ps2. give them a call and have a talk w/ them. they're pretty cool.

Thanks for the tip. I had a Version 3 PS2 and I tried to install one of the higher end 20 wire mods. I worked for two days on it and I managed to fry my PS2 - I bought a new V9 and I'm gonna defer to the "little wire wizards" so I don't botch number 2!

If you run across any info about an installer in the DFW area let me know. I will call Larry and see if he can put in a Matrix Infinity - it seems to be the rage right now.
