i got my hd loader earlier on today and i have installed some games on the hdd. but what i didnt know is that u have to put ur hd loader disc everytime u wanna go to ur game menu. i find that kinda weird sense it kinda beats the purpose of just using ur originals or backups and just booting up like that cause u will have to load a disc either way. but i do like the decrease in loading time though

Yeah I kinda felt that way too in the beginning. But now that I have a bunch of games in my hdd I figure all I have to do is leave the HDLoader in my ps2 at all times and just select whatever game I wanna play at the time. So in a way it is still better than actually going and looking for your games then inserting and playing them.

yeah ur right tyler.....as a matter of fact i was thinking of the same thing u did of just leaving the hd loader disc in at all times so that everytime i turn it on it boots straight to the hd loader menu. i guess i cant have my cake and ice cream and eat it too....haha :p. maybe in the future development of hd loader(i hope) u can just install it straight to ur hdd and have an option in the browswer/configuration screen. only time will tell. :)
I am using the ConsoleSource.com HDLoader http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/customer/product.php?productid=1926
Ya I do the same thing, I leave the HDLoader in the system all the time. That way, everytime I fire up my PS2, the HDLoader menu comes up, I choose the game I want to play and I'm on my way. It's not like I use my PS2 for DVD Movies

as of today i am leaving the hd loader disc in there and i dont have to worry about anything anymore(related to his anyway)...haha. i dont even bother going to my shelf for my games anymore :p . now if the hd loader had the power to take me into the future and get a ps3, then this would be the ultimate product, but its still a superb piece of software :)
