I was just reading the previous threads and was wondering. Is it possible to put a hard drive in a ps2? I was thinking of just buying like a 1GB HD to put in there, but was wondering what type of connectors and software i would need to have. Is there anything else i should know about putting a HD in my PS2. Thanks in advance!

Yeah you can put a hdd in the ps2. Go the the Ultimate Info Sticky and read up on anything that says HDLoader. Im sure youll want more than a 1GB hdd too.
:p

Most PS2 DVD based games are over 1GB so you may wont to think about at least a 40GB. Any way thats what the HDloader team recommends you use...is 40-120GB HDD. As for everything else your going to need its all here in the last few HDD topics should be easy to find. :)
IC i have looked at the website for the hdloader and it sounds like a solid product. My only concern is going to be getting a cheap hard drive that will fit in my ps2. U guys have any suggestions?

I would recommend a Seagate. If you time it right you can find one on sale and get them fairly cheap. I got my 120gig for $90 total after taxes.

Of course. And I even filled out and sent off the rebate too. I always complete my rebates. Not to long ago I got my $40 rebate from Pioneer.

You gotta wait for someone to have a sale. Best Buy has them every so often.

Um... Have edited this on the grounds of not slagging any manufactuer of HD's off. Go for a Maxtor HD. Very Relyable and 100% compatible!! :D
