Messiah 2 is a good chip, but for the same features but lower price, the Duo takes it for me. If you want a real high end toy, go for Matrix Infinity. Don't get a Mars...

I agree with Lufcfan, Messiah2 is a great chip but expensive. There's alot of chips that are as good or better than the messiah now and cost less. Duo, MagicV and Apple Pro just to name a few, if you want all the Extras and can afford it the Matrix infinity is the top chip IMO.

i have a DMS3..It IMO is the best chip and i find it hard to believe that someone knows a beter chip!! yes maybe the matrix is just as good(i have nevr seen/used one) but i think it is the best chip.. it may be more money but it has to be the best chip!

what are the honest differences between the DMS3 and the Matrix? Also remember i am only basing my opionion on the DMS3 v1 (v7 ps2)

Lets see, it has auto detection for PSX, PS2 and DVD backups. It plays mod protected PSX games on v9,10 consoles. One chip is compatable with all versions PS2. The chip turns itself off after boot and Matrix infinity sounds better than DMS3 :D
I used to have a DMS3 and i am not knocking the chip but In my experience the boot rate its better with the infinity, about 99.9%. My console loads backups as good or better than originals, No button pressing unless i use the Quick boot feature. The infinity is also a few bucks cheaper than DMS3 at most sites.

It also has a fewer wire count thus making it easier to install. I also like the feature that when the chip is disabled it pops up a big old' DISABLED screen were normally you would see PS2; I also like how it shows the flash version installed right under the PS2 logo when you’re booting a PS2 game. Also like how the mem manger looks like something (matrix logo) instead of corrupted data like the DMS3 appears.

DMS3 has seen all these great features in the infinity and is answering it with there new DMS3 Plus, sooooo what do you think???

@ Warlock Not from what I have seen. They may add it in the future.

What I think ALL mod manufacturers that have chips with dev mode should be working on intently at the moment is a way to boot software such as HDloader from the mem card. If it was there own software this would be even better and maybe even less buggy then the HDloader.
