:confused: i dont want to be the idiot asking all the wrong questions to the pros, but iv seen the slide cards, they look really easy to do but it seems too easy, im not looking to boot cdrs just DVDrs so im wondering if its effective. thanks for your help people...
PS i have a pretty good burner, any prog i need and Ridata, will that media work in a V.7?

I do not encourage the use of slide cards. It can damage the PS2. If you have a v7 console you can get a DUo chip or a Apple Pro for 19.99 +install. If you cannot install the chip yourself then Spedmetal of www.norcalmods.com is up to the task and is reasonably priced. This is the best advise i can give you. This along with Ritek media and Recordnowmax.

ok thanks for the reply but im wondering how it would damage the PS2, i appreciate the help people im just really paranoid, and dont like the idea of sending it away for 100s of bucks compared to getting a slide card in less than a few days for just 30 bucks, thanks again people.

It messes with the gears in the ps2. Its basically the old fashioned "knife method".
