If it's badly made, then yes. Chances are, it is probably badly made. Don't touch it. If you want a Messiah 2 so bad, go for a new V2. I would take a Duo in your position, or if you fancy something a bit more advanced, use a Matrix Infinity...

Thanks for the replies, friendly stupidly bought a silver ps2 with this chip in it. Ill get some one to remove it and install a dms3 or a matrix.

Go with Matrix over DMS3. It's days as best chip are over... :)
