2) Can original games be backup on the hdd.
3) Can backup games work on the hdd without a m0dchip.
4) What hdd sizes(gb) can be installed.

Tyler man.. When you get ur hdd in and stuff would you post a good detailed review on it? ur expert analysis wud be greatly oppreactied!! ;)
My HDLoader's coming tomorrow and I already have my Hard Disk so I'll post my findings here too. A maximum drive size of 137GB is supported and DNAS games don't work online via the HDD...

I think they could patch the games to play them online. just like the xbox when you copy your games to th hdd it patchs the xbe's im sure they could release a version to patch the dnas file.
Hdloader disables the network adaptor and patching dnas file is useless, maybe Sjeep saved the online feature for the next hdloader.
OK, my HDLoader came around 10:30 this morning. I haven't posted until now as I was enjoying it too much! :) . For these tests I have been using a 40GB IBM Deskstar 2MB Cache HDD linked up to the Ethernet only Network Adaptor. The drive formatted in a matter of seconds and I was ready to go...
If you guys wanted to know if this thing worked or not, then be rest assured, if you order one, you will NOT be dissapointed. So, of the games I've installed and played on, which work and which don't?..
1.Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - Installed: Yes, Plays: Yes
Comment: Unbelieveable! Took 1/2 hour to install and the little loading screens you get between islands only come up for about 1/2-1 second instead of about 5-6 seconds! :D . It's certainly a good start for the HDLoader. Also, there is no slow down or FMV problems when things get hectic...
2. Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec - Installed: Yes, Plays: Yes
Comment: Well, as before, loading times are non-existant! Everything is straight up and there is no FMV problems or anything! Brilliant...
3. True Crime: Streets of LA: Installed: Yes, Plays: Yes
Comment: Long loading times are diminished and there is no slow down between regions on the map! FMV Loading is greatly improved. I found the menus to be a little slow on disc but now, it's immediate and working properly. Level loading is a matter of milliseconds! :D
4. Manhunt: Installed: Yes, Plays: Yes
Comment: Now this baby was fantastic to play anyway, but everything is now immediate. The little reel of tape for the loading bar fills straight up and you're playing in around 1 second... I think I've found my new best friend...
5. Gran Turismo: Concept 2002 Tokyo/Geneva: Installed: Yes, Plays: Yes
Comment: Same as Gran Turismo: A-Spec. Fantastic! :)
Still to try: Max Payne, Max Payne 2, Rainbow Six 3, EyeToy PLAY, Hitman: Contracts, FIFA 2004.
So, first impressions are this is the best £20 i've spent on my console to date. Games just don't have loading times anymore. If you've been holding this off, then please don't any longer, you have to buy this thing now! As for the actual software itself, it was easy to use and it is very clear and quick. I do have a few hints below for V2 however... ;)
Hints for V2:
1. Enable booting from Memory Card.
2. Sue those pricks at PS2 Ownz for ripping the damn disc for the pirates to use
I'll keep you updated on when I install the other titles. I can't do it right now, I'm having far too much fun. So, my final words are: BUY THIS THING NOW!!!
Hdloader disables the network adaptor and patching dnas file is useless, maybe Sjeep saved the online feature for the next hdloader.
is that the same sjeep that made pgen?
