actually i managed to make a backup the first time i tried it...of course the backup will not work and i still need the original to play but that's a completely different thing..
the way to go about it is to make an image with the latest clonecd version and then burn it...i don't know if it will work for you but it worked fine for me.. :) :p

Utlima have cracked xpand rally, and that was with home made installation and everything=) even if u have installed with the orginal CD's it is worth to uninstall it just to watch what they have done with the installation=)

it was protected by starforce 3.3 AND the installation install the rdy to use :D dont even have to apply a crack... its all taken care of

Is Codename Panzers on CD's or DVD? DVD's are harder to crack because of the size of them! Thats the problem with Race Driver 2! It was only released on DVD.

what i meant by saying that it doesn't work is that i can't play the game without a crack...however i can still install it using my backup...
as far as i'm concerned that is a working backup..after all no game can be played by a backup without a crack...

let me take a wild guess...1:1 backup is an exact copy of the original cd?
still i've never seen a 1:1 copy in all the years of my gaming experience...

@ Hunk
i've never seen a 1:1 copy in all the years of my gaming experience...
Then u obviously have only been gaming for a couple of years then!
I have plenty of 1:1 backups but in the last couple of years it has become harder but not impossible to make a 1:1 backup! ;)
Most games today cant be backed up 1:1 but certainly not all are impossible!

To Mr. 'Experienced' gamer with the 4 WHOLE POSTS!
You've never heard of 1:1 ?
Anyone who is 'Experienced' with gaming knows that used to be the norm. Nowadays you can do it sometimes. But, usually, if a successful duplicate is made, a crack of some sort must be used to get the installation from that backup to run at all. In other words, you are either lying about your Experience, or you just have no idea what you're talking about. Either way, get to know something about what we discuss here. Otherwise, you're just wasting space.

that's exactly what i'm saying a couple of posts before..that even if you make a copy you still need a nocd or whatever you wanna call it crack to play it.

just because i have 4 posts it means i'm not experienced?
well excuse me if i'm new to the forum...maybe i should go make useless posts to get my counter up and then come back and post what i wanted to post in the first place...

We'll , you've already made useless posts. You're well on your way to gathering up your 'experience'. And, just because i happen to agree that LATELY you need the NOCD files to play games, that does not mean that you are completely wrong and misguided in your other point. FROM 1984 TO ABOUT 2001 i had practically always been able to make those elusive and 'impossible' 1:1 copies. I guess i must have magic powers. So, please go post on another subject. You've caused enough misinformation for having so few posts.
