cool, but we are talking about the new mini ps2 not psp
I personally cannot see how they can make it much smaller. Afterall, the PS1 had a LOT of free space in the case, and that was obviously easier to make smaller. The PS2 has it's DVD Drive and Controller ports next door to each other in the front, and these are about as small as they're going to get. Besides, even if it is true, I think we'll only see it towards the end of PS2/beginning of PS3 as we did with the PSOne/PS2...
Some pictures would be very interesting. Especially if they had one next door to a real console so we can get a good judgement of the size (providing this whole thing is not just a rumour/fake).

just surfing the web and found this info http://www.8bitjoystick.com/archives/jake_contemplating_the_sony_pstwo_size_does_not_ma tter.php
That guy's dreaming - DVD-RW Writer, lol! :) . The only thing that'll be any different is the size (though probably not a lot) and the fact that the board will be redesigned and have yet more BIOS problems (probably)... :(

yep, i think hes thinking about the psx there buddy. also the pstwo will be harder 2 mod as the board will be smaller.
from what I;ve read in the various magazines etc they're gonna do away with the hdd slot, improved ambient cooling etc
sounds pretty smart, but we'll have to wait and see
expect to see more details after the release of psp is my suggestion!!
Yeah, I agree. I don't think we'll see anything until after PSP. Speaking of which, when the hell does that thing come out - It's taking Foooorrrreeeevvveeerrrr! ;)
end of year in japan
beginning of 2005 for rest of world afaik!!

looks nice. Does it play cds or cartridges
brand new mini dvd type media - holds 1.8GB
gonna have movies etc playing on it, like Advent Children(the new Final Fantasy movie) on it, so looks like they are trying to get the big movie studios involved from the off!

well, GT is being made for it, and I cant see it taking long for a version of the Tekken franchise to appear on it

I do believe the estimated price is £150-£200
but more details will be revealed sept/oct I'd imagine
A cross between the 2. It's called a UMD, it's a glorified MiniDisc.
Yeah, short for Universal Media Disc.
