Is there a reliable and larger alternative to the 8 Meg official memory cards? I've only seen a USB adapter so you could attatch your memory card to the PC and backup and manage the files but it was quite expensive ($50).

Well, the 16mb Datel ones were pretty crap according to reviews on Amazon and you need a boot disc to be able to use the cards. The flash expansions you've seen are much better and don't lose game saves or need boot discs like the Datel. They are very expensive, but around where I live, the big local High Street electrical retailers have a load of these 64 mb expansion ports on sale for £8!!!

But, if you want the ultimate in PS2 storage solutions try XPort or this very cool little device ;)...
