View Full Version : Soldner Secret Wars 28446 unmounting functional image

Hi,
I got a so far functional alcohol image of Soldner Secret Wars.
But after the latest patch the image is unmounted (daemon-tools 3.46) everytime I start the game.
Got anybody an idea how to prevent this (autolock doesn't work) or is there another tools out there where I may mount the *.mdf -image? Btw, Alcohol 120% must be uninstalled for a successful image mounting before the patch.
Greetings

I think, after updating the game, all the actually versions of CloneCD, Alcohol, DaemonTools, ... are black listed by the copy protection.

I think SOLDNER is the lousiest game (graphics, control, fun) at the moment.
So why you play it? There are so many real good other games....
(my opinion)

I play it because it's an awesome game! once the bugs are fixed i'd put it up against any game of it's like. I have almost every fps realeased in the last 3 years and this game has more potential than any of them in my opinion.

If anyone doesn't wan't thier copy of soldner secret wars, I'm trading the following games for it! All five of these games for Soldner!!

Unreal tournament 2004
GTA III
C&C Tiberian Sun
Car Tycoon
Sniper: Path of vengence

At least this game goes for gameplay over graphics they just need to patch things

The reason it was buggy was Because Jowood told them to release it early because funding would be cut

yeah. Why the hell hasn't someone made a nocd for the new version yet?!?!?! It's been a long time and no doubt this would be an easy task for a programmer. just update the 1.0 nocd to work with the new version. what's the freakin hold up here.

why not? tell me why they could make a no cd for the original version and not for the update. has the game changed that much as to make a no cd too difficult to make from the patch?

Hey mwitters,

As for an answer to your "why", perhaps:

1. the creation of the no-CD patch for the original release involved too few automized tools and too much manual work and that would have to be done again and again for all updates or

2. there is some new anti-crack stuff in the update.

You can't tell, I can't tell; neither of us have tried cracking it. So, instead of grumbling around, please, be patient. ;)

Give me the crack ASAP ???... Just be like other's... PATIENT !!! As you done before with Jowood :)

Team members know that's a great deal to crack this one, so let them time to release it !!! instead of loosing time reading all the time the same shît !

ok, GameDrive emulator is not blacklisted and on their site they say v8.0 supports the latest Securom *NEW* v.4.8. the download costs like $30.00 though...

even if you get this program - i doubt you will be able to play the game with an image made with Alcohol or CloneCD. it has to be a .VCD image file made with that same program. a review said creating a .VCD image of protected cd's can sometimes take up to 10 hours! that seems to be the only way to back up a Soldner cd.

don't bother downloading the trial of GameDrive, it's only the old v7.2, and will not work with the new Securom. i might have to buy this...
