I picked up GamesXCopy the other day and have been fairly pleased with it. I've been able to make a back up copy on my hard drive of Unreal 2004.

I tried this same method with Far Cry.
I was able to make an image file and save it on my hadr drive. i was even able to play it. My problem is that the auto save doesn't work. The game will not save my progress and every time i die i have to start from the beginning.
Just thought i would ask if there is a way to fix that.

Sounds more like a problem for technical/developer support. Does the same happen with your originals ?
If it does contact UBISOFT (it is from UBISOFT, isn't it ?).

As far as i know the game doesn't have a autosave function in it.

There was a crack/cheat/bloodpatch (all-in-one) for the german version, that enable a changed save function.

Can't check it. I don't have the game anymore.

yes it does, after each level it autosaves :)

Far Cry has a checkpoint system like XIII has.
It will save only at certain spots when you reach them.

I realy didn't like the game....so lame story and so typical stupid guards and then of course..monsters.... oh dear... not worth it..

update the game to 1.1 and it might solve the problems... sheers...

i agree tottally krondike they worked so much on the graphs that they forgot about the game itself lol

Actually, there is a way to save the game manually. It involves tweaking the .ini files. Go to Google and search for a Far Cry tweak guide. It makes a really big difference in the quality of experience.
