what program do i use to burn a video file (ex: avi,wmv,ect.) to a dvd

Do you mean so you can have it as a backup? Or do you mean to convert it to dvd format to play in most standalone dvd players?

Avi, is easy. Just use TMPEG Encoder.
Windows Media Video on the other hand is a whole 'nother story. They can be signed with licenses which get checked online everytime you view them. So I wouldnt know how to do them.
But in general TMPEG will do just about everything.

i have the videos in dvd format because i used tmpeg encoder but what do i us to burn them

where can you find this software? I searched for it and it looks like it might be freeware, but I can't find a good link anywhere.
i am now using ulead dvd movie factory 3 suite i can fit 7h 30min on one dvd5 disc. its really easy it will convert the files and burn them

if you have tmpgenc dvd author. just make sure your dvd file is in your VIDEO_TS folder, load up the burn app, and your movie folder, select your VIDEO_TS folder and burn away.
