Extracting audio soundtrack in chapters

Is there a way to extract the audio tracks from a dvd split into tracks according to the dvd chapters, rather than a single audio file? I've tried finding software that would do it or would just do a direct dvd soundtrack to audio cd conversion but there doesnt seem to be anything like that.

Not really, its all basically one big audio file.

But the chapter reference is kept on the dvd, is there a way to get it?

Run dvd decrypter and set the mode to IFO, select your desired chapter/s and goto stream processing tab, enable stream processing and only select & high light the audio track that you want to extract (it should be AC3 track not DTS), in stream section choose "Demux" and press decrypt buttun.

you can convert the AC3 file to whatever format you like with BeSweet. get the BeSweet and BeSweet GUI from download section of doom9.org, you need both of them.
