old game - motoracer 1

im a fan of this great old game and wanted to play it some days ago. it was hard to find an iso on the net but finally i managed to. problems occured when i wanted to install data disk and patch 3.22. all the cracks out there were just crap, so i gathered much info and cracked the file myself. if any of you still want to have fun with motoracer, here is what u need to change - the smallest crack possible :)

OFFSET - OLD - NEW - CRACK
13701 - 75 - EB - registry
13702 - 08 - 5C - registry
41B61 - 75 - 90 - cd check
41B62 - 22 - 90 - cd check
41B75 - 74 - 90 - cd check
41B76 - 0E - 90 - cd check
41B79 - 75 - 90 - cd check
41B7A - 0A - 90 - cd check
5C5B4 - 75 - 90 - illegal version
5C5BD - 22 - 90 - illegal version

OFFSET - where to look for byte
OLD - original game code
NEW - you change the byte to it
CRACK - what is actually cracked step by step

i know the game is old as hell, but i love it :P

Hi marys-fc,

Could you, please, provide me with a list of problems with the Moto Racer 3.22 English no-CD patch I made many years ago? (Available at http://www.megagames.com/cgi/download/download.cgi?action=search&category=cracks&search=MOTO_RACER_322.ZIP ) As it took me several days to find all the nasty stuff in it and managed to complete the game without a CD and without a glitch since then, I think your saying "all the cracks out there were just crap" is, khm, just crap. to be fair to him, i should think it would be kinda hard to get the original now a days

hm joe.f - well i checked yours and am happy to agree that its also good, i didnt find it earlier. but your patch changes more *and other* bytes than mine :P going back to luciel - yes, finding original motoracer at any shop is impossible now, i vote for abandonware
