Hello,

I live in Europe, and I have a PAL-Playstation with a couple of PAL-games to it. I would very much like to be able to play my games in full screensize, and 60Hz, just like the NTSC-versions of the games does. If you play an original release NTSC-version of a game in a chipped PAL-Playstation, the machine will output NTSC-signal(60Hz), just like it would on an NTSC-Playstation.
Now let's say I rip a (original)PAL- game, and use one of those PAL/NTSC patches, to change the region to NTSC, and burn it back to a new CD-R. When I play this burned CD-R in my region-free PAL-Playstation, will the game run 60Hz, and fill the whole screen, just as if it was an original NTSC-release of the game?

If you use a ntsc 2 pal patch then youll get the best conversion you can get for free. Keep in mind that these patches are not always 100% and sometimes youll find an area of your game thats still in ntsc format. But for the most case youll be able to play it more comfortably.
