V9 issues

So i went to the guy that installed by mod chip today, because of the fact that some games were strangely affected by my mod chip. Mainly dark cloud 2, and the guy said that the magic chips for the v9's or that the v9's themselves had problems playing some games, and he went off to list a few of the games. Can't remember what they were now, but i think kill switch was one.

Now for anyone that has a V9 ps2 here with a magic chip, or for anyone that knows, is there an actual problem with the magic chips on v9's causing weird in-game problems? or was the guy just bulls**tting me?

I know of no issues with Magic V50k and V9.

i know that there's at least one issue, at least with my mod. Mine won't play dark cloud 2 without the mod chip turned off, my friends, which is lower than a v9, not sure what exactly, plays it fine though.

Sounds like a media issue to me.
