Riteks G04 problem [Archive]

Okay I got my Riteks G04 and my dvd-burner can't read/burn them! ARG

What the hell is the problem, is it my dvds or my burner?
First time I got G04s ...

I have a buslink burner. (cheap crap)

Can anyone find firmware update for it please? I can't seem to find any ...

Well, I bought what I could afford :o

Its a Liteon LDW-401S to be exact, can anyone help me?
Firmware ... anything :(

i have a lite-on 411s and it works fine i bet u can get a firmware upgrade for this and how fast is this burner ? and did that site help ?

If it is a LDW-401s then the firmware from LiteOn should work.

I updated the firmware and still isn't working, I'm going to go to circuit city buy a Sony 8x burner and see if it helps, if not.
I'll return the burner and the Riteks.

I saw that there is a hack so you can make the LDW-401s a 8x burner.
