The Official Sacred 1.5 Crack Thread. Don't make other threads about this.

Just so you guys know, there IS a working 1.5 crack floating around. But there is good news and bad news. You just heard the good news. The bad news is...its 50 MB. It's not so much a crack, and a patch to the Deviance Rips which makes them a 1:1 copy, capable of defeating the copywrite protection so long as you have RMPS emulation enabled in the new version of Daemon Tools. As a result, there is no cracked EXE, and it should work with all the upcoming patches provided they don't beef up the copywrite protection again.

I hear it was cracked by guys in #[email protected], though I had a friend send me my copy. Still, when I checked out the channel, they had people sending it around, as well as a text file with step by step instructions on getting it running.

Just a heads up. Don't ask me for the file, I don't have it anymore.

This crack dont work on some systems. To use this crack you must uninstall e.g. Alcohol.

i can't find deamon files for free..
i can't find 1.5 crack
ed2k doesn't seem to downlaod anything at 1.0 sometihgn speed and i'm runing cable modem WITHOUT firewall but it keeps saying i ahve firewall turned on..
(i have two cable , how do you combine the speed ?)

and so i tried Dasm the thing
and it doesn't dasm at all..
the crk sacred. dasm howveer...
what i do not understand is

how do people come up with the 5.7+mb executable
when i could not find any of those. in any part of the cd/folders

the flmod.dll / base.dll that came with the crack
is actually the original sacred.exe

while on 1.5 final.
some how i replace call lines from the crk file with the newer _grannies.. call number.

the intro and everything but then CTDs after it reach the almost end of the typemanger bar thingy..

any idea where they hid the actualy excutable?
ori sacred itself is i think the cd protection checker or something..
after it checks it has to point some where to load the mss.dll
but i can't seem to figure out from where in ori sacred.exe that laods the rest of the dlls ?

The DOS promt Window is the Autoupdater..nothing else.....At the Moment there is no working NOCD/Crack for Version 1.5. All other is using an 1:1 Image....Its like you use your Original CD..NOTHING ELSE!!!!!!!!:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :p :eek: :eek: :eek:

Yep, still no real crack. However in view of the number of Sacred threads that get started here, I'm going to make this the "official" one. Some of my fellow mods *cough*BountyWarrior*cough* would rather see no threads about Sacred at all, but if it stays contained to this one thread it's good enough for me. All other threads about Sacred 1.5 WILL be deleted, so if you have something to say about it, do it in this thread. Also try to not whine too much about there not being a crack, we KNOW and the crackers in general do not read this forum so requests are useless, even if they would heed requests at all (which they don't).

Sacred is patched so much in the last time....SO you could use your Cd´s for a while, solong, until there is an WORKING Version.

I Think, with Version 1.5 is an Version, that runs good engough....(I run this version, and there are no more bugs in the Quests (I think so))...so we will see.....

And if there wont be an NOCD.....Its not so ......(OH MANN, MY ENGLISH).....But you know what i would say.....:rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Thats it...base.dll belongs to NOCD Version 1.0......The newest Version of NOCD for 1.2 also has no base.dll --.--- So, the "hind" which is messaged above is no solution for a NOCD for 1.5......:rolleyes:

it seems with this 50MB crack you need to burn a 1:1 copy cause I burnt it following the instruction and did not work. We need a NO CD crack one that doesnt require a CD.

Thanks for making a Sacred sticky thread. It really sucked to see these lots of new threads emerge every day, where people were asking the same over and over again.

And now my question:
This new 50 MB kinda workaround will strip off the copy protection, but you still have to use a CD? Am I right?
That would solve all my problems...since German patch 1.0.3.8, Sacred doesn't recognize my CD anymore.
It's because of this damn Fujitsu burner, on my other PC it runs well. But that's no use, I want to play it with my wife.
Ascaron isn't able to help, as it seems. No support after emailing them the problem, although I included account name and CD key.

There could be one problem...the UK/US version checks for CD 1, the German version for CD 2. Is this "crack" also usable for the German version, anyone tried it out yet?

its not a crack for the game, it's just a patch for the deviance release of sacred to make it a working backup ,you need the cd 1 from the deviance release to make it work like a original cd ,i dont think it makes any sense without it.

Ive stopped bothering with cracks.

I installed 1.5 UK over the US version, i enabled all emulations options on the latest freeware deamon emulation, and i just launch the game. It messes with CP stuff about 45 seconds and then lets me in, everytime.

From what I understood this 1.5 patch/workaround is for the "Deviance release" of sacred. This is the warez ISO or whatever. Is there a way for people who have the original game to play without the CD?
Not with a virtual drive, not with a backup CD. Just without having to fetch the CD everytime you want to play.

The other problem is that you have to uninstall Nero and other programs to make it work.
This is more of a pain than it's worth.

(Sacred 1.5 won't detect the original CD in my writer and the other driver is a stupid creative DVD that you have to eject/insert 5-10 times for anything to work in it)

I don't beleive you have to uninstall Nero. As I play the game just fine with Nero installed, albiet an older version. What you DO have to do however is turn off any virtual drives you have, no matter which application manages them. And I think alchohol 120 regardless, though I personally don't know (burned my CD on a machine with Alchohol, and then played it on another).

As for a straight up no-CD crack...well this work around is the best thats out right now unfortunately.

I don't know much about who the cracking groups are, but it seems they are the same people who do warez releases. I assume the reason they make cracks is to put them on their warez ISOs or BINs (read an NFO file and you will see the instructions are to "burn the .bin and .cue" and then copy the cracked exe or whatever. It's almost as if the way to get cracks is from the "deviance" folder in ISOs themselves.

Since they already released a mod to their ISO, I doubt that there will be any future cracks to 1.5 or any version that can see through the DAEMON TOOLS workaround.

Why would deviance release a 50+ MB workaround to an ISO instead of cracking an EXE? Maybe because it would work on all future releases. (They wouldn't have to crack this game again until a new protection comes out)

How many people are out there cracking games for us non-warez users? If you know anybody, ask them to crack it. I tried learning to crack things, got as far as replacing a single byte and then gave up - too much work just to wait a week for GCW to host the crack.

It wasn't deviance which released that 50 MB patch. It was the work of just one random guy so near as I can tell. And it's really a work of art either, as so near as I can tell, he just used a program that compares files, and makes a patch to make one file like the other. Then compared the deviance rip to a 1:1 rip to make that 50 MB patch.

Emulation seems the ONLY thing that works right now. If you want to go that way, I suggest you use Alcohol120% with the VOB Protectcd 5 option to make the image, and mount the image in Daemon Tools 3.46 (RPMS emulation enabled). I know at least one guy who has successfully done this and can play this way. The fact that there still isn't a crack out for ANY patch seems to bode ill for any future patches, so try emulation...

Edit : I forgot to add, make sure you UNINSTALL Alcohol120% and any other virtual cd programs EXCEPT Daemon Tools 3.46 before trying to mount the image and play the game. At this moment, only Daemon Tools 3.46 can bypass the copy protections' blacklist. So use A120% to make the image, and use DT 3.46 to mount it. I'm sure a future version of A120% will also bypass the blacklist.

I have tried the workaround for the Sacred 1.5 Patch to get it work without any crack. It works for me, but only one time. I installed sacred, update to 1.5, de-install Alcohol 120, install new Daemon tool, enable RPMS emulation and the game starts... but only for one time:confused: After i restart my OS the game will start again...

I don't know about you guys, I am able to use some of the methods talked about in mgforums, there are several talked about over there. One of them is trying to make the game open 2 concurrent process(which is hard to do) then the cd checking would say it is running or something.

Another method easier one is having an image of your cd in daemon tools and clicking the website button after mounting it at same time clicking the sacred.exe that method usually gets me through every 5 out of 6 times. I am using UK version btw.

Germany got a very strict protection of minors, and the game is really bloody, with dying animations including severed limbs etc.

And it's only rated "12 years and above" (we have another rating system than you: all < 12 & above < 16 & above < 18 & above ).

Don't understand this, I always loved playing US game versions because of the extensive gore (SoF & SoF 2, for example) :cool:

yes i tried it too but the german version 1.5 has a different version number than the english one and has different files that are not compatible to each other .it starts with this crack yes but if you try to start a new game it will crash at the first video and the voices doesnt work either,loading saved games works but it also crashes if you get to the next chapter and at many other things too.i think there is no other way than to wait for a german crack if there ever will be one

Well kiddies, it seems that the IMSDOX 1.5 crack isn't fully cracked and it will totally mess with your game progress.

I was looking forward to playing w/o a CD, so I installed the crack--everything 'seemed' OK. However, once after entering a portal I got transported to a deserted island on the bottom of the map--no way off!

I played it a couple of more times and after a few portal/cave visits I'd end up on that damn island again! I went back to the original .exe and .dll files w/CD in drive and guess what--No Problems. Must be an anti-cheat/crack island of doom!

If at first you don't succeed IMSDOX, try, try again! Please!

yes this seems to be part of the copyprotection others reportet this problems with earlier versions too.maybe some invisible part of the copyprotection checks the files while playing or something like that and if the check fails it sends you to the island .that would also explain why the souldrinker and deviance cracks needed the original exe as base.dll to work because i never had this problem with the souldrinker crack 1.0 or 1.2.

Previous cracks have had the NFO file say that the game contained triggers. Apparently this is one of them. Same thing happened in a lot of games with triggers (with different effects).
Oh well. We'll have to wait some more then.

I have had the same problems, with this games.
I have the german version, got it to work, but i can't solve any subquests (all enemies are on this island), and when i go in a portal i am on this island ( it has a 6 shown by stones on the ground, espacially the german members this should be a hint)!!!

On the official German Sacred homepage, they're already offering beta versions of the upcoming patch. So it shouldn't take long until this crack is outdated.

IMSDOX did not provide instructions on the use of its 1.5 crack in the included .nfo. I assumed (incorrectly?!) that the included Sacred.ims(.exe) file was for those warez users who needed the original .exe to patch the game.

However, after reading posts about the base.dll file included in previous cracks I decided to reapply the crack--this time including the Sacred.ims file in the game folder. So far I've been able to play w/o problems.

If I'm guessing correctly, the inclusion of the original .exe file even with a different file extension will fool the game into thinking the original .exe file is being used.

Anyone else tried this crack with success or failure?

all i did was update the game, then copied across all the files to the game folder.
Maybe you may need to uninstall and then reinstall it and try again.

i keep back up of the original files for updating, before replacing them with the cracked ones

Can you sove any subquests? And if you go through a portal, aren't you landing on this island??? Please try it...

Maybe this problems are only for the german version?

@kaioshin: yes i and other guys tried it with the german version and it doesnt work with it.i already tried to rename the german exe to .ims and i doesnt work .this crack doesnt work for the german version it triggers the copyprotection ,and by the way german version 1.6 is out anyway so we need a new crack.

i just seen it on official site.. its for the english one :) aswell as other versions

doesnt fix as many things, but it improves performance :)

heres list of fixes for 1.6 .....

- Fixed calculation of item level when forging them into special items. New item level is now the level of the item forged which has the highest level.

- Fixed EXP bonus when touching special statues. Received EXP bonus reduced to an appropriate level.

Renaming the original german .exe with .ims does not make it a ims file.... it adds only ims on the end of the file, but it is the original exe...

for the germans there must be another solution...

to rename it from .exe to .ims .. u have to have view file extensions enabled in the folder options m8

then it will show up .exe on end

open a window on your computer, then at top click tools, folder options, view and then remove tick from box that says hide extensions for know file types.

There is no IMS file, this is like renaming to .bak it is still the original exe, but renamed to something else so that if something is trying to find the original exe by checking the CRC of ALL the files in the folder it would still find and you would get away with using a fixed exe and STILL have a valid exe in the folder (renamed to ims or bak)

ims is just an extension chosen by iMSDOX, like Norton AntiVirus used to rename your autoexec.bat to autoexec.nav (it's still a .bat file but just renamed .. as a backup copy)

good news! it seems to work ok now i tried it another time with the german version : i first patched to 1.5 then renamed the sacred exe to sacred.ims, then i deleted the sacred.exe and granny.dll entrys with the checksum from the chkfiles.txt and copied the sacred.exe and the granny.dll from the crack in and it seems to work now
i says now version 1.55 instead of 1.53 with the ims from the crack bevore on the bottom of the screen .i dont know what went wrong the first time but it seems to work ok this way now .i tried a few portals and subquests and they worked like they should !
maybe this method works for newer patches too ?

edit:this method should work for users of the us version aswell !

After renaming the file extensions from exe to ims (german version) it works!!!
I went many through portals and now i never ended on this island!!!!
Now i try subquests, but i think this will work to!!!!
So everyone who has the german version must rename the original exe (1.5.5) with ims, and then it should work!!!!

You americans said your version was censored.

Check your Sacred options. Is there a checkbox in the lower left square (the "automatic saving" checkbox or something like that is also in this square, for example) where you can enable "violence" ? I presume it's not there.

Then check your settings.cfg in the Sacred folder. Is there a line like "VIOLENCE : 0" ?
If yes: try setting it to 1.
If not: try inserting "VIOLENCE : 1" (below "SOUNDQUALITY : ?", and above "VOICEVOLUME : ?").

Maybe it's just disabled by letting out this parameter.

Supposedly, the latest patch disabled that. :(

I have heard that if you replace the executable from the American version with the executable from the UK version, that you can get gore to work. Does anyone know if this is true? Would this work with the no-CD files that are out there?

I am in australia, and I have whatever version is sold here.

It comes patched to 1.2 something according to the readme, and i have patched it to 1.5.

I have used the crack that was posted here, and renamed my original exe to the Iss or whatever I cant remember. I can play the game, but then every couple of minutes the models stretch out right across the screen. Like bits on the polygons pop right out so every model looks like it has giant sticks through it.

Any ideas about an Australian version crack?

that doesnt realy sound like a problem with the crack. have you tried too reinstall the game and did you exactly follow the way i descibed above ? i cant say it for sure because i only tested it with
uk and german version but it works fine there.and as fare as i know there isnt a real australian version it should be the uk or us version ,do you have gore ? and what patch did you use maybe it was the wrong one .

Yep man just found out I used the wrong patch :rolleyes:

Figured out from the packaging that i have the UK version.

Still don't get why there's an Australian Patch and no Australian version.... Can't remember where I got it.

The package with the chick on it is the UK one right?
That patch should fix things, just doing a reinstall now.

I just realised the problem I was having was with the actual patch after looking at the official Ascaron Entertainment forums. Many people are having this same problem, so I'll have to wait for a crack for 1.6 to come out before this is ironed out >_>

Unstuck and Closing. Mixing a 1.5 thread with 1.6 will be too confusing for some people. I'm sure a few threads relating to 1.6 will show up soon enough though :rolleyes:
