Try updating your graphic drivers or check if your GPU becomes too hot.

try lowering the games graphics settings.....this game requires a lot of grunt on higher settings
yeah lol, look at my spec underneath, no way i can run the game at high graphs so give urself an idea of what u can run
Hi,
From the details you've posted regarding your system specs, it's clear that it is your gfx card that is bottlenecking the whole system. The FX5600 was a dog when it came out, and by today's standards, it should be dragged out into the street and shot. If you can afford it, upgrade.
Or, if you're willing to wait a while, both gfx card manufacturers are bringing their latest cards out at the end of April, and I am assuming that with that will come a reduction in the prices of the current-generation performance leaders. I can hope, anyway.
I recently went from a GeForce 3 to a Radeon 9800SE (which I softmodded to a 9800PRO, best cash I've spent on my PC in a long time!) and Far Cry runs a whole lot better. Not silky smooth, mind you, the mouse lags a little in some heavily-lit scenes, but this is with the settings on highest. I am running the 9800SE with 768mb of DDR333 RAM and an XP 2400+.
I would recommend thinking pretty seriously about upgrading, because Far Cry is definitely worth the investment....
Cheers
thanks for that piece of info, i will think about ur suggestion :)

FarCry runs fine on my radeon 9600 256mb ddr with default game settings and the hardware below:
asus p4b533-e mobo
intel p4 2.4ghz northwood
1gig pny optima pc2100 ram
sound blaster audigy
hell the demo ran fine on my old Geforce4 ti4200 64mb ddr card and the same hardware and same settings.
and No, i don't overclock anything.
if it wont run for anyone else on comparable hardware then upgrade all drivers first and if that doesn't help then upgrade the hardware.
