View Full Version : Any recommends other than M2 1.33b for v9 ps2
Have a V.9SS with Messiah 2 1.33b fitted in it. It works ok and boots everything but does sometimes go into sulk mode or seem to get stuck in one mode when ur trying to use another.
In other words am a bit dissapointed wiv it and am fed up wiv having to sweet talk it into the correct mode. I was expecting a direct replacement for my Version 7 fith M2 1.31 which worked flawlessly but this ain't it.
Can anyone recommend another no swap mod for version 9 which works more reliably please.
Regards
Ive got a Silver V9 with a Smartchip Pro works like a dream plus give quicker boot than other chips

I agree with Fanta. I use the Smartchip Pro X5 for all v9's.

I know your stance with the Magic Team Otto but I thought I would just add that I havent had any problems with the Magic V 50K in the V9's
I sure would like to try and Apple3 though.

doesnt seem like a good idea
The Bugs you are refering to were with earlier magic chips. I know of no bugs with the 50K.
BTW, good to see you again Dust :)

Are you referring to the Magic V here? And if so what bugs might you be referring to as well, as there are none that I have come across.

so far I have installed for customers the following with zero problems:
Blue-X5 (what the smartchip was originally based on)
MagicV 50k
DMS V9
guys from modchips.cc did not seem overly keen on the Apple3... and even though selling it - they did not list it.
Also heard from G at Newz that it was just using the homebrew ice code.
