I was wondering if someone could post a tutorial on what to use/how to use automobile rubbing compound to fix discs. I read you can use it on them, but I was just wondering if there were any specifics like which direction to rub, how corse the compound should be, and so on...

Just get some very fine polishing liquid (not the coarse stuff). Then using a soft cloth just dab a little touch of the liquid on the cloth and polish.
I recommend doing this on a flat surface like a clean table. Ive seen people do it using just their hands and while it does work. Eventually the disc may break. So I recommend the table.
By no means to I recommend an actual electric buffer to do this. I do all the polishing by hand.

i just use the turtle wax spray. spray a little, rub around, then wipe off.
