Hi I am in the UK, I bought a second PS1 and have used it for over a year in the UK, with no difficulty at all including running PS1 games bought in the UK marked PAL. Using a number of Tv’s here with line input.
Having moved to PS2 I sold the PS1on ebay. The buyer is unable to make it work, and says the machine is an American machine imported. Marked with the American TV format, and although he does not wish to return it, I had offered him a refund, has no more knowledge than me and planning to use accessories only I think
Looking at some games I got with the machine originally that will not run on the PS2 I see they are marked for sale only in the states. Therefore it is likely he is correct and this machine was brought into the UK and plays both formats.
Can anyone explain to me why it worked perfectly well for me but will not for him, has he for example changed a set up menu or something.
Can you tell me of any page links that will show other people have been able to take USA PS1 machines with them and run them in Europe, this must be something military families do all the time?
