resident evil

anyone know if i can get resident evil 1 to work on windows xp? tells me it is windows 95 only!! there must be a patch or crack out there somewhere?

Jay - I had the game a while back and got rid of it because of the incompatabilty. Res 2 works but is crappy quality. Look to capcom for any future questions about their games, because aparently these fools dont know what they are talking about.

thanks for the help guys,sorry to stir up da **** but i didnt know about the compatibility mode.now i do know and i have gotten the thing working(although it is speedier than it should be) now you all kiss and make up lol

I had an off-topic the other day, god did it make me ill, I just took some antacid and all was well lol.

Jay, I have all the Res Evil except for the playstation2 release of 5, and all but version 4 are very lame on a faster mid to high end pc. Better graphics in Silent Hill 2 I think. If you realy want to play the old games, just run Win98 in a emulator for xp, sometimes I get the urge to play old games and relive my evil childhood lol.
