So can you tell me: WHY???

Because it updates Sacred from 1.00 to 1.200

I presume they mistyped the filename.

In the main menu screen, in the bottom right corner, version 1.0.2.0 shows up after patching with 1.2.0.0.exe.

You can also take a look at the file readme.html in the subfolder /readme (in your Sacred folder), the changelist:

Could it be that Sacred is not released at this time in the USA?
Or why took it so much time till a reasenable crack was created?

For the latest information the version 1.2 repairs strongly bugs both singleplayer and multiplayer( Local Area Network).

Hi People,
I have a very weird problem withthat ****ty game Sacred. I have buyed it last week, and got a BIG problem with this noCD.
If i use that NoCD file, the sound and music of my game sound very "scratchy", and thus very ugly. Just like it would be get distorted. That way the game makes absolutely NO fun to play it.
If i play using the orginal CD, the sound is just fine and normal.
BTW for 2 of my friends its work just fine, one friend has some problems with his mouse, its very laggy with the NoCD.

Does someone have similiar problems with the NoCD from SoulDrinker? And does someone know a solve of this problem?

At the end i want to say something. I am really pissed, if i buy a game, the game needs to be installed FULL on my HD, using 1,7gig of space, and then i STILL need a ****ty CD in my drive, only to be ALLOWED to play the game.
At this point, i want to thank SouldDrinker for his NoCD files, he helps to keep my CD-Rom/DVD-Rom last longer!

i've got Sacred v1.02.0ger and the crack doesn't work, i can start but when i want to load a game it crashes.
And when i want to start a new game, loads and then it fades to black (i think this was fixed in the new version and through the old crack it came back).

Guys, SOULDRiNKER is a cracking group, not a single person (at least, as far as I know :D ).

And I don't think it has any use begging SOULDRiNKER for new cracks here. It will be released when the time has come...
I think it's cool that the game offers a full install. I hate loading from CD's during gameplay. And Sacred just needs the CD at startup, then you can remove it. Perfect for LAN playing with my wife :p

guys, that is a crack for the version 1.0, not 1.02... so if you patch and try to use the crack, it won't work...
and your problem without sound, i think you have patched it first then used the crack... same with me when i tried it...

if you have patched, you have to wait... if not you can use the old crack... or your original...

and exodus is right... beggin' people never helped to speed things up... just wait...

I had the very same problem like u the first time i installed the game, and started it using the crack.
The game was starting, and u could make a new character. But once u r in the game, the screen starts fade to complete darkness. U can try the following: Hit "F9", that will make a fast save of the place u r. Then u exit the game, and load that save. Then the game will stay normal, and not fade to black.
BUT . . . this way, the game will even have more bugs then it normally has. U will not see any text and tutorial stuff.
Just delete the game, and re-install it a new. That . . . at least for me . . . solved this problem. After i re-installed it, it was working just fine, no fading to black when i made a new character!
So . . . just try to install it a new, ok? Try it :).

In this DOS window, the changes of the patch are just verified. This has nothing to do with the copy protection.

And what English No-CD? The English version isn't even released :)

More likely a German No-CD will be out before the US/UK release

There is a fake file @ overnet, called, ~scrger102.rar (not exactly like this) but its no new crakc, its only the souldrinker crack renamed by some §$%& guy.
Maybe its not worth to make a crack yet, because a new official update will presumably come this week. Though its hard, we have to wait a week or too I think. Maybe doing some more use-bringing things this time, reading something or so ... :)

Oh my god !!!! If you don't have a clue about pc, software and operating system, the best thing you could do is to stay silent.
If opening a DOS window is already magic for you, buy a play station. I believe a PC is a little bit too much for you....

And HOW right WitchMoon is . . . actually this game has more bugs in it, then a pouch of fleas . . .
I am not so sure about that i will play this game later on as much as i did play diablo2, and that is mainly becouse of the thousands and thousands of bugs it has in the 1.0 version. Things like u stand bevore a enemy, and ur character wont attack with the special attack, u can push ur right mouse button till ur finger bleed . . . ur character simply "dont want to" attack. Or the funny things like u can equipp a Armor as a Shoulder pad, Gloves as Arm Protectors, or(for the dark elf)the game dont let u equipp two one hand weapons, even thought u have the skill . . .
I had with this NoCD many hang~ups, sometime i even found myself in my windows desktop again . . . without any error message or something. Once my PC even had a complete hang up.
To be honest, i think the guys from Ascaron all choosen the wrong job . . . programming is sure a very hard job, and u should know what u do to work in it.
Maybe it says something to u, if i say that i NEVER IN MY WHOLE LIVE have played such a BUGGY game. NEVER. This is truly first time. If u would try to sell a game THIS buggy on a video game console, then u should be cruzified.
Anyway, a friend of me still think this game is great, and dont has that much bugs, but i have enought. The game itself is not THAT good as well, u r all the time run from one point on the map to another, and real "Bosses" like in Diablo2 doesnt Exsist(u know, Bosses that r alone, attack u like crazy and can take quite some punishment). The dragons here(the few, lol)doesnt attack u like all the normal enemys, and they r never alone, and can not compared with a "real" boss(at least for my taste).

I would like to know, if there is someone other out there, that is thinking like me. I was very interested when my friend told me that there is a game that comes out soon, and its like Diablo2. Even thought i was a little bit worried becouse of the characters u can choose in this game, i still was kind like excited and wanted it to come out soon. Now after playing it, i am kind like frustrated, becouse it doesnt even is as 1/4 as good as Diablo2(ok ok . . . the Grafic IS WAY BETTER then in Diablo2).
I would REALLY want to know, WHY all the Internet Game Magazines give this piece of ****t so hight ratings? Multiplayer has bugs in LAN play, and Single player has nearly as much bugs as the Multi player(it only dont has the network bugs :P ).

Okok Diablo2 had bugs yes... but remember... we had an expansion set and the patches are mostly done for reorganizing the game and keep creepy "hackers" from annoying the "good players"

Sacred is wonderfull - yeah I really think so
It has nice atmosphere, nice quests (and lots oO), the horseriding is funny and many more things...

but mostly all these things are currently bugged espacially in multiplayer...
quests wont work, horses bug players and quests or even turn to talkable NPCs, npcs disappear or dont talk anymore, enemies are "pacifists" and drop nothing, questitems keep up in the special inventory (I got the same f*** cut-off head in my inventory 71 times), items on the ground change when taken up in the inventory, combining skills doesnt work more than often, skills can only be used in support for other players when the characters want to (like heal and stuff),poison doesnt work, quest chests which must contain quest items are empty... I could continue hours I guess...

I think it should be better released as a betaversion not as a paid full version... i guess it can be fun maybe not like diablo did but u can get really addicted to it... the world is huge and the monsters ca drop really nice thingies ^^

In my opinion Sacred is a good variety to Diablo2 - and its better than Dungeon Siege - which is nothing more than a variety to D2 either... but without items to hunt, funny elements or even a story. The landscape is awesome but thats all...

I really look forward to Dungeon Siege 2 and World of Warcraft...

As far as i remember, Diablo2 was at the start in version 1.0 not THAT buggy as sacred. U could play at least the single player without greater bugs. Ok Ok . . . i even had some lags and "black walls of dead" in version 1.09, when i played it with my friends on a LAN. But i NEVER experienced something like in sacred for sure.

That u all not get me wrong . . . Sacred has a nice grafic, and the sounds r nice as well(like the townspeoples talk). The characters r nicely made, every character has many and many special items that r only for this character cass. The voices r done nicely as well.
But then again, i HATE it, that u can not set ur own keys as u want them(and didnt had Diablo2 a key config from 1.0 on?). The left 5 buttons(that u r supposed to use for weapons)r useless, i always only have 2 weapons . . . and the rest is empty. It would be better to be able to put in every button(left or right)what u want, weapons or skills. It is ok for me, if the sub quests r not saved, but its stupid if the map and the story quests r not saved in multiplayer games.

All i was asking from the game was, that it is playable without THAT many bugs. Some bugs would be ok, but that much? If u could play throught the single player without the need to die becouse ur character stupidly doesnt want to do that special . . .

Where to put the Base.dll from the Soudrinker-file??? Can't find an original one! Replaced the exe file, game loads but screen fades black after starting a new game (character is shown shortly before screen goes black).

There is no original Base.dll file for the game,it's a new file for the nocd patch.

Now to my question... has anyone able to get this game working by mounting the iso to a virtual drive so the game thinks the cd is in the drive? I made a backup copy of my cd 1 and mounted the image,i've tried D-tools,and alchohol but neither of them seem to work as it uses VOB protection,any ideas?

I been searching for hours,translating german pages trying to find anything that i can. cause,the only reason i got teh game was to play it multiplayer,and to be honest it's pretty bug ridden without the 1.0.2 patch...

I also hear rumors circling around,that all SCSI drives were blacklisted with the release of the 1.0.2 patch so mounting a cd image would be impossible,anyone confirm this?

some people say scsi has been blacklisted... that i don't know... it is possible...

alcohol, daemon or something like that is not blacklisted... i tested it... even if some people say so...

as i know nobody has been able to mount an image... but some people were able to make a copy with clone cd and alcohol... but that are says from boards... i think it is possible that there are some copys... but only on specific burner with much luck... nearly all say they have to start the game twice or more until it works with the copy...

my personal view of things

Diablo2 - LOD
Story - ok but not needed to get addicted really
Items - best Items in any game ever, many pre and suffix, awesome amount of uniques rares and sets
Characters - very nice, many classes with even many different ways of gameplay and tactics
Monsters - huge amount of enemies with many skills and many many bosses +the level endbosses (with high droprates ^^)
Multiplay - Awesome - it has lags yeah but to play with many others kicks ass (mostly of enemies :D)
Grafics - ok - nothing special

Dungeon Siege
Story - not really usefull - missing videos
Items - nice view from outside, but only useless crap (like rings with 5 to mana, 6 to mana, 15 to mana) only usefull stuff is yellow rares but they are all the same, uniques are missing, the new sets suck (2 items = 1 to Int, 3 items = 2 to Int, etc -.-")
Characters - No classes, it was a new idea to become a class in dependence of what u use (weapon or magic) but this even sucks later on in the game because the magics are not really usefull
Monsters - ok they are nice and vary alot (like the environment) but the bossmonsters which appear are nothing special - the last endboss is lame
Multiplay - is nice because of the grafics and the feeling, but to fight in groups dooesnt fit well because the exp sharing is not seen - only nice thing is the follow mode for lazy players
Grafics - best in the genre I think

Sacred
Story - is ok and leads the gameplay
Items - nice view, nice varieties, class speciffic items, sets are rare and not really usefull - but nice to have :D
Characters - Nice classes with good new Ideas, but if u look closer many skills are the same, fighting technics are fine but leveling sucks because u cant really skill what u like because u need special skillitems to higher skills, leveling up chars isnt even usefull when u dont get skill items
Monsters - nice but the variety is missing, they look very different, because they can be equipped with all items u can find (wepons etc), they dont vary much but keep getting stronger, the appearence is nice and the sounds are cool ^^, need of bosses yeah - that sucks meanwhile
Multiplay - is very funny but in this state of developement (I call it that way because of the bugs) not playable
Grafics - very colorfull and nice, environmental sounds are cool too, but if u know dungeon siege it seems like a 3dimensional Diablo


I think Diablo2 is most addictive, the other games are more like fill the time u are fedup with diablo - till u want to play t again ^^

I got the english global.res file working with the new patch and no-cd.

How you may ask ?

Open up chkfiles.txt and find the entry for global.res

Find the md5 sum and replace with d8d92e1cf115240104043c1829710e2a

Replace the global.res from the english demo just like before.
(you need to do this again because the patch overwrites the old one)

You can now play the game in english !!!

Anyone else having trouble with GameServer.exe since the new patch? Each time I create a server (LAN) as soon as I join it the gameserver.exe crashes. Seems only to happen in 1.2 or 1.0.2 or whatever ;)

Even if I create the server in-game it crashes as soon as the game starts.

Not sure if this has to do with the latest noCD or not, thus I ask here.

I'd be careful with this new "crack".

Some folks on ReCracks.de boards say that the version which shows up in the bottom right corner in the Sacred main menu is 1.2.0.0 with this crack. And this ain't possible, because current version is 1.0.2.0.

Very suspicious...maybe some guy just hex-edited the old crack and only changed the version number :o (and didn't have any clue about Sacred and the real current version ;) ).

Well, I didn't try it out for myself, just downloading from ReCracks.de (found new DL url on the boards there).

Ok, then...please explain why the cracker has changed the version name to v1.2.0.0. If this is really a new crack, then the original .exe should be version 1.0.2.0.

Why should the version name even be touched, it should stay the same, if the .exe is the right version .exe, and not the one from v1.0.0.0.

Please convince me.
And just because the game loads and runs for a while (real testing should last some days, at least), it doesn't mean the crack is fine.
FIFA 2004 v1.1 did run with the old v1.0 crack, too. But some v1.1 features where missing. Maybe it's the same here...perhaps some changes in the new sacred.exe missing?

Anyway, if you use it, it's ok. Don't want to argue with anyone about that.

But I won't use it...don't want my characters being cooked up.

Youre right O.K. but for me the crack is wonderful, because I waited 2 weeks to play the first time, and the first crack didn't work, the new one explicitly does!
I also don#t want a quarrel.

It's not the first time SOULDRINKER has "stolen" a crack.
The file is really cracked by MYTH/DEViANCE . SOULDRiNKER is a "Warez-Release-Group". They take cracks and use it for their releases...

And now to the "Version-Number-Problem".

It starts the game in singleplayer issues and u can play on ur own in Multiplayer...

but connecting with others isnt possible with this crack...

dunno if it depends on this mysterious crack or the update itself... but I guess it must be the crack oO

for me it does the following:

I open Gameserver - one connects - my PC freezes right away
I open Multiplayer-Game - others cant find or cant connect to it

maybe it too crack related: Chests etc in multiplay are empty all the way...

it sux... I hope this faker will burn in hell -.-"

the version if you patch with the patch file 1.2.0.0 is 1.0.2.0... i patched it, i used the original cd... and if you look down in the right corner and there is 1.0.2.0... that is the patched version...

so if the crack brings 1.2.0.0 there is definitly something wrong... maybe it works but in the original it is 1.0.2.0...

if i got it right, the patch seems to look after virtual drives especially... i think ascaron states that people who have virtual drives or daemon tools installed cannot play after patching...

I am sorry to dissapoint you, but I read the changelist in the readme file and it is stated that a Vampire that is exported when transformed into a vampire in v1.0.0.0 could not be changed back. However, this was fixed in v1.0.2.0. When installing the game, updating to v1.0.2.0 and using the souldrinker crack for v1.2, the bug mentioned above is still there.

Conclusion: Souldrinker did not only steal another group's crack. He also edited it so that people would think it was a crack for the new version. Hope someone cracks the new version soon.

Ok, maybe they (SOULDRiNKER ain't no single person) did "steal" the first crack, but where did you get the information that the second crack for v1.0.2.0 from ReCrackS.de was published, or made, or whatever, by SOULDRiNKER?

ReCrackS.de says it's from MYTH, so if you blame someone for the fake, it should be MYTH. By the way, I don't think it's from MYTH. But I don't know where ReCrackS.de get their cracks from, especially those which no other crack sites have.

Maybe home-brewed? ;)
